  1. Pam Asberry says:

If I gave up my hobbies I would definitely have more time for writing; OTOH, my hobbies help keep my creative juices flowing. Hopefully I won’t have to choose! Thanks for the smile. :-)

  2. Trevor says:

Aspiring author or no, your life and hobbies are what inform your writing.. I get the impulse to renounce things that won’t help you achieve your writing goals (“you” being indeterminate here) but without the rest of your life and interests to inform your writing you’re going to have a complete, but not very rich, piece of writing at the end.

That said–I dig the comic. :)

    • MMRule says:

As a writer who chooses not to outline, I spend most of my hobby time working out ideas and finding inspiration. Life experiences (hobbies included!) do give richness to our work. :) Thanks for your comment!

  3. You know! says:

Is this a subtle hint that there will be no more cupcakes?

  4. Brian says:

Don’t give up cooking, or at least baking! I still await your next literary cupcake. Now those are a great (and delicious) expression of your creativity.
